Audi A3 2014 problem

Postby marco900 » 06 Jul 2014, 15:28

I don't know why my post was deleted.

I have a brand new Audi A3 2014 with mmi plus touch and want to connect the Audi video interface. Everything connected as in the instruction but the can wires are now located behind the main unit and not by the airco controls.

The colors are matching for the Can connection but the switch with the nav button won't work. You have to use the toggle switch. Also with the dipswitch set to A3 the screen is divided.

Maybe because of the MMI high unit?
When i set the dipsitch to off, the screen is good.

The biggest problem is the menu.
I only get this screen and no other settings.

Also the Rear swich over Can isn't working.

Any solution or is this not compatible with my car?

Hello!
To enter Factory mode menu press and hold the left button on the remote control until OSD menu appears. there select the rear view camera activation via CAN and the right car model.

Factory mode found but there's no car setup. Can is not responding on nav button and reverse signal. The only way to see the signal is to use the mode button. Whith dipswitch mode 5 on the signal is scrambled but in the off position its normal. The unit is just not responding to any can signal and also the nav button on the car has already a double function. See the foto's.

The Can wire installation.

Setup for car model isn't in my menu!

So the questions are:
What does dipswitch 5? On is for the A3 off is for the Golf 7. But in my case the signal is scrambled.

Nav switch: has the function RGB - AV1- AV2 - AV3 - Original according the manual. On my car the nav button already has the function nav screen and settings. Maybe that's a problem?

Hello!
DIP switch #5 is in charge for picture parameters for Audi А3 or for VW Golf7. The button doesn't work because the interface does not identify the CAN bus commands. Follow the manual when you connect to the CAN bus.

Also try to replace the CAN wires as on this picture:

An update from my progress:

The manual is junk. The dipswitches are not corrosponding with the car model. So ask for help. You also have to switch the can wires to control the interface. Now I ''am wating for a solution for the parking lines. They won't show.

Overall, this product or the manual isn't ready for sell.

Hello Chortenia,

I have already had contact thru email. They send my a new interface so I can make a switch. Thanks for the new manual, i had already seen this one. The only thing as an update for the A3 manual are the dipswitch settings. The wiring is different.

Thanks for all the support and patient. I just have a faulty item.
