Problems installing in 2009 CTS

Postby cjgillig » 17 Aug 2014, 23:34

I have the GVIF Interface for Lexus/Toyota/Land Rover/Nissan/Jaguar and am installing it in a 2009 CTS with factory navigation. I have also added a rear camera and I can see the camera and the on-screen menus form the GVIF unit on my display, but I can't find any combination of settings or wiring configurations to see the OEM nav/radio display on my screen. Everything is working except the pass-through from the factory head unit. Can you tell me what the GVIF wiring and any GVIF unit setting should be to make this work?

Hi.
Please, provide the video of the problem. Show how everything's connected and position of the switches.

Thanks for the reply, but I actually figured this out last night!

The problem was the cable that plugged into the back of the head unit. The plastic sheathing on the cable wasn't allowing it to engage fully in the head unit. I cut about 3/8" of the plastic sheathing off, and it now works! As an aside, the GVIF cable configuration was left as shipped - the red/yellow wires did not need to be swapped.
