Video interface for 2008 Lexus IS350

Postby Nik » 27 Jul 2010, 13:16

I have bought a Video interface for my 2008 Lexus IS350.
I use the VGA video input to connect my CarPC to the interface. I have tried different screen
resolutions but none fits the screen correctly. On 800x600 the image is shifted to
the right, on 1024x768 the top and bottom of the image is cut. What resolution should
I use? Are there any timings I can use to create a custom resolution?
Best regards,
Rodion

Use 800x480 resolution.

have tried using 800x480 resolution bu the image is either shown only on the right
half of the screen at 60Hz or shifted to the right at 70Hz, the auto function in the
menu doesn't help. Can you please send me more information on the resolution settings,
like horizontal and vertical refresh rate, front and back porch and any other setting
in order to create a custom resolution setting in Windows.

Буду писать по русски, пусть контенты потом переводят.
Men who usually installing portable PCs in the cars know such things as Interlace, also they know that it's not so easy to connect VGA signal to standard car monitor, for these purposes special software suppose to be used. For example: PowerStrip. But performing such operations requires great knowledge in processors data theory and understated monitor frequencies they connected to.

Also, need to know that not all video chipsets are amenable to this procedure, under-frequency and permits.
