Navibox S100 -Outsourcing ( CS9100) update?

Postby FISHERMAN » 01 Jan 2014, 00:32

Hello, i am veryyyyyyyyyy happy to find this page. I am into gps hardware and soft for many years, but since i bought navibox s100 (outsourcing), which is the same like 9100 i did not search for anything more since 2009 if i remember correctly.

At the time 2009-2012 i could not find any information about the box manufacturer e.t.c. Now i find this page and i am shocked with the information (also in english) and how detailed everything is written. EXCELLENT !!!!!

I have S100 on an Alpine IVA-d310 multimedia station. 64mb ram are not enough and using primo2 with dem, building files etc give me memory problems. I have to search for gps software packages with low requirements or to upgrade to a CS9200 - CS9900 box.

Questions:
1) Can i use the fw from cs9100 to my navibox, which is not supported from the local dealer? I see that this fw has a nicer gui and i dont have to use WOLFNCU as a gui and then run Primo,Igo,e.t.c. I also lose ram from wolf.

2) Since CS9100 has WinCe5 and 64mb ram, which software is best for it. Just to take full advantage of it in case i keep it.

3) I am willing to buy CS9200 or CS9900, but i am not sure. CS9200 or CS9200RV ? CS9200 is just an upgrade to CS9100 with 2x processor and RAM. 400mhz--->800mhz and 64mb ram----->128mb ram. The price is also PERFECT, but still with WINce 6.
imho not a major upgrade since i already have a CS9100like box.

Will it run primo2 full moded packages flawlessly? dem, building, pois, skins e.t.c ? If yes i will buy it for sure !!!

4) CS9900 is a gps box giant but it is "restricted" to android 2.3.6. Since i am buying a new box i am afraid to see another model in a couple of months with android 4.0.4. Unfortunately, andromeda is not working with my Alpine Iva-d310.
Ofcourse, it is a veryyyyyyyy special gps box with EVERYTHING included!! I like it !! Which GPS programs work with 2.3.6? 100%

HAPPY NEW YEAR...sorry to bother you with soooo many questions but i am very glad to find you...ready to order !!!!

Here are some pictures of my setup to consider..As i see the latest fw upgrade the local dealer provided is from WP9100. If i buy CS9900 i will just unplug "9100" and plug the 9900 ? Should i buy again the RGB cables for Alpine?

:D

Hello and happy New Year!

1. We are not quite sure that our firmware fits, because there was one more version - WP9100 Scale which had it's own firmwares.
2. We installed iGo 8.3 with new maps (for testing) and faced no problems with the lack of memory.
3. 9200RV has video input and has different hardware than 9100. The 9200 has a new processor, larger RAM and ROM and OS WinCE6. Igo primo runs well on CS9200 but we made some modifications to the hardware.
4. We ran the following navigation software on the 9900: igo primo, navitel, yandex maps, navigon, etc. Soon Andromeda will support 480х234 resolution, but we can't tell for sure when exactly.
5. The same connectors and cables are used for 9900, as for 9100/9200. You don't need to buy a new cable.

Thank you very much for the answers. These days i have read and watched a lot about your products. I am sure CS9900 fits my needs perfectly, but although i found igo primo for WINCE supporting 480x234 resolution, i cannot find for Android for this exact resolution. It will be a pitty to buy this awesome gps box without having the appropriate primo software for 480x234. Will andromeda be available for multimedia stations also? Now it is only supporting OEM monitors.

You can adjust the configuration of iGo for such resolution.

We have that in plans but we can't say for sure when such box will be available for purchase.

Will it work fine if we adjust the configuration of iGO Primo, even if it wont support 480x234 resolution at all? iGO Primo supports bigger resolutions than that in all the mobile projects....

iGo should support resolution of the screen. Otherwise, it won't work
